American society has become willfully ignorant to the philosophy of individual liberty, largely preferring the encroachment of the state beyond its minimalist function. Not only has the average person agreed to sacrifice their sovereignty for the "common good", they demand, under that same utilitarianism, you sacrifice yours.
On the flip side of that coin are the rebels, those who refuse to allow the state to bloat into any quantifiable totalitarianism. We are wholeheartedly on the side of the rebel.
